This class covers digital camera vocabulary and features, considerations for purchasing a camera, tips for taking good photos, and provides an overview and demonstration of some online photo sharing sites. It is an introduction to editing programs, with hands-on usage of Picasa software to learn concepts of photo editing. This class will NOT be hands-on for your specific camera and cables, and will NOT cover emailing photos for your specific email system. Want to be able to access your documents from any computer in the world? Want an easy way to share documents and collaborate with others to create documents? Take this class to learn about �cloud computing� � using software on the internet to create and store documents. Many vendors are moving in this direction � find out what it�s all about. The Commission may also consider and advise on topics at the state and national level. Typical activities include writing letters, speaking to public officials, representing the Commission at community meetings, and testifying at public hearings. Volunteers must be residents of Multnomah County and are elected by the Commission to serve a three year term, with a typical monthly commitment of 6-8 hours of service. Periodically, continuing education is provided for Commission members regarding advocacy issues and strategies. The Commission meets the 3rd Wednesday of every month. more info

State: OR.The Elders in Action Commission, a powerful voice for local seniors since 1968, is a 31 member committee that meets monthly and provides advice, direction and advocacy regarding the issues and needs that affect older adults. As a part of this role, the Commission acts as an advisory body for Multnomah County Aging and Disability Services, the City of Portland, and Multnomah County officials. The Commission may also consider and advise on topics at the state and national level. Typical activities include writing letters, speaking to public officials, representing the Commission at community meetings, and testifying at public hearings. Volunteers must be residents of Multnomah County and are elected by the Commission to serve a three year term, with a typical monthly commitment of 6-8 hours of service. Periodically, continuing education is provided for Commission members regarding advocacy issues and strategies. The Commission meets the 3rd Wednesday of every month. more info
