What a Busy Year at Elders in Action!
Elders in Action's Volunteers are making a difference!
Personal Advocate Volunteers assisted 3,561 individuals which was up 74% from last year and recouped over $231,000 in cost recovery or avoidance..
Other significant Elders in Action milestones for 2008-2009 are:
- Personal Advocates: 46 volunteers logged over 2,576 hours
- Speakers Bureau: 13 volunteers completed 94 events reaching over 51,000 individuals
- Community Safety Advocate: 20 volunteers worked from 6 sites logging over 984 hours
- Elder Friendly Business Certification Program: 28 volunteers completed 16 new business evaluations bringing total businesses in our directory to 262
