Bill Gordon
2002 Timeless Treasure Recipent Turns 100!
Over the past 30 plus years, Bill Gordon has been a leader for elder and community issues here in Portland and next month he will be turning 100! He was active with Elders in Action and was awarded the 2002 Timeless Treasure award. He also was active in the Grey Panthers and the first chair of the Portland-Multnomah Commission on Aging along with a millions of other projects.
His family has asked Elders in Action to reach out to the many people who knew him and worked with him over the years. There will be a celebration honoring Bill's contribution to a better world through his years of leadership and activism for social change. It will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2:00 PM-5:00 PM at the Multnomah Arts Center, 7688 SW Capitol Hwy, Portland, OR 97219. Please no gifts but consider bringing a photo or story to share.
