Click here for details. Community Education provides a variety of informational workshops to seniors. Topics include: "Scams, Fraud, and other Bad Stuff," plus Aging Awareness, and Transportation options for seniors. The Commission is a 31-member panel that advises local officials on programs and policies for older adults. "When the Commission speaks, government acts!" Elder Friendly The elder population represents a large and growing consumer group. By the year 2010, one in three Americans will be over age 50. Implications for business are clear: Improved access to older consumers and knowledge of their needs are important to be competitive in the business arena.
