What We Do

Personal Advocate Services has trained volunteers to help older adults and link individuals to community resources. They focus in the area of housing, healthcare, crime, and elder abuse. Personal Advocate volunteers assist older adults in Multnomah, Clackamas, and Washington counties. These services are at no charge to our clients.

Speakers Bureau provides a variety of informational workshops on important topics affecting older adults on how to stay safe and get connected to social services.

The Commission is a 31-member panel that advises local officials on programs and policies for older adults. "When the Commission speaks, government acts!"

Elder Friendly® Business Certification The elder population represents a large and growing consumer group. By the year 2010, one in three Americans will be over age 50. Implications for business are clear: Improved access to older consumers and knowledge of their needs are important to be competitive in the business arena. Since 1993, this program has been helping employers better servethe older customer by using our nationally recognized standard of service.
