Elders Guild Special Meeting:

Taking the Next Step; Evolving Effectiveness During the Crisis of Our Lifetime.

Elders' Guild

*** NOTE: Special Location, Date and time ***

The old man was planting an olive tree in the hills of ancient Jerusalem. A passing Roman soldier scoffed: "Old man why bother planting the tree, you won't be around to eat the fruit." Without missing a beat, the old man responded, "No, but my grandchildren will and as my grandparents planted for me, so do I plant for my grandchildren."

Wednesday's special community meeting will go deeper with the conversation begun at the Elders' Guild Community Meeting on November 23: During these difficult times, how we can serve as elders, growing wisdom through practice, supporting one another and those who are targeted, and constantly growing more strategically effective as champions of the future.

For us as elders, our self-realization and our mission of securing a wholesome legacy for the grandchildren are part of the same journey. Our path is to keep on integrating our activism to redeem our legacy for the grandchildren; making joyful empowering community for the sake of our own lives; and learning to embody the change we want to see in the world. WE SHALL OVERCOME! But the road is long and bumpy. We need to keep our spirits high for the struggle. Reb Zalman Schachter Shalomi, the Rebbe and Sufi Sheikh of blessed memory, taught: "The only way to get it together is together."

The next regular Elders' Guild meeting is December 18th.

Conscious Aging for the Greater Good

Our vision is a world in which powerful and conscious elders join together in common purpose to bring healing, joy and connection to our lives, our families, our communities and the world.

Our mission is to create the communities where we re-imagine our old age, look after one another and embody the wisdom that will enable us to help heal the future. Each Elders’ Guild Meeting is a Celebration of Life that Enlivens the Spirit.
